My little sister recently reassured me that blogs are dead. Vlogs are in, and people like me who prefer reading to listening are out of luck.

At the time, my sister was listing reasons to not start a blog. Little did she know, that was exactly what I needed to hear to launch my blogging career. A world where blogging is dead is the kind of world that I feel free to blog in.

I want to make it clear from the start that this blog has no clear purpose. I’m under no delusions, this blog is entirely for my own self satisfaction. If you ever find a tasteful recipe, riveting outfit, or other piece of useful information here, then you should rejoice because that is probably a once in a lifetime opportunity (and I should reset my passwords, because my account has been hacked).

I just read all of the above out loud to my boyfriend, who became quite worried. He kept saying, “Your account has been hacked? How?” He was concerned that I, the wanna-be cybersecurity specialist, was not more worked up about being hacked. I’m not surprised to learn that my ancient sense of humor will help contribute to the general esoteric air surrounding this blog. If I’m quite honest, the most likely thing that will happen to this blog is that it will become dedicated to reviewing my favorite books. If there is anyone left who reads blogs, they’ll probably be scared away by a blog about books.

Now that I’ve introduced myself and the purpose (or lack of purpose) of this blog, I’m going to go run on a treadmill, which is what I’ve been procrastinating about.

I feel like I should have a catchy ending line here but I can’t think of one, so that will appear in the next blog post. xxx
